Help save natural reserves with ROV

Peace :) , We are a group of college students From Egypt brought together with the passion for knowledge , innovation and helping our community and environment with our ideas . We are currently working on a project that will help protect natural reserves in our region and help us take the first place in the MATE international competition .

Our story :

- The MATE ROV competition :
Our story begins with an idea , An idea of an ROV ( Remotely Operated Vehicle / basically a small submarine controlled by a joystick which we made from scratch by the way ;) ) . We came together hoping to learn and take the first place in the MATE ROV regional competition of Egypt .
And despite having our base in the city of Aswan , located on the southern boarders of Egypt with limited access to resources, material and almost zero experience having to depend on self learning , We were able to get a very high ranking in the regional competition as well as a special award for facing those challenges ,The" guts and glory award"

- the greater cause :

After we came back home with our award and dedication to make it to the first place in the year after , We realized that this journey didn't just give us a greater passion to learn but it have also enlightened us to see our true potential as it seemed obvious that a greater cause awaits .

The city of Aswan have always been well known not only with it sceneries but also with It's natural reserves,

especially the great crocodile aquatic reserves that we later on realized was suffering in silence by the illegal hunting which have cost tens and even hundreds of crocodiles their precious expensive skins as well as their life , And that is when we took the decision that our team will take a new rout towards the greater cause , that is developing our ROV in order to help monitor the natural reserves and keep them safe from the greed of illegal hunting , In order to make not only our small city and it's crocodiles but the hole world a better place , where the aquatic nature is well monitored and protected for the next generations to come.
