Help Save My Papa
On December 12, 2019; 9PM Philippine time, Julio Amarille, my Father had a motorcycle accident in Lupon, Davao Orientl. He lost his control at the curve dark part of the road that is prone to accident. He sustained injuries in different parts of his body particularly a fracture in his spine. He immediately rushed to Lupon Disctrict Hospital by MDRRMC and later on reffered to Regional Hospital Tagum City. CT Scan was done revealing fractured at C2-C3 level. My Papa was soon transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU); subsequently intubated but due to lack of facilities we opted to transfer him at San Pedro Hospital, Davao City. MRI was done and showed that he needed eight lateral mass crosslink for his C2-C3 fracture. The operation was successful but had to take him back to the ICU for further observation.
He was put on life-support system for several days to allow his body to recover and fully function on their own. The first attempt to reduce his dependency on the system still showed signs of weakness but our papa is a fighter. On, December 23 he was taken off the life support system and started showing stable vitals. However, his battle is not yet over. He remains sedated in the CCU and is scheduled for more laboratory and therapy procedures.
His medical bills were not fully covered significantly by the Philippine health plan, however it is estimated that the cost for his continued care and recovery is about USD1,000 a day. Me and my siblings are currently unemployed and has no regular income.
This funding campaign had been initiated by me and my siblings. Proceeds will go straight to the hospital account. Every donation, no matter what amount, large or small, will help reach our goal of supporting our father’s increasing medical bills and seeing our papa well and fully recovered. Will you consider helping my papa? We celebrated Christmas and New Year at San Pedro Hospital Davao and please keep him in your prayers. He has a very tough battle ahead, but with your help and prayers, he will live to tell his story himself. Thank you and God Bless.
