Help Save My Eyes

My name is L.J. Faith and this is a statement about how my visual impairment has affected my life. It has affected all aspects of my life since birth.  As a  child I struggled in school, was bullied because of not being able to see and participate in activities like the other children. This continued through high school going through my teenage years, I felt alone and I had to give in and  adapt to my condition and compensated for it and I still had trouble with being bullied in school and at work. I wanted to go to college and I still do, the air force would not accept me with my sight impairment and that was devastating. I have trouble working because of my impairment and not able to do certain tasks that are part of the jobs I have had or have applied for. I am also not able to drive and rely on others for transportation as well as every day tasks such as reading my mail and navigating through the store to shop for groceries. I have adapted to my surroundings by memorizing them and that is how I am living. 

     My hope is that I can get financial assistance to receive stem cell treatment so that my visual impairment can be improved so that I may become independent, more of a contributing member of society and pursue my dream to go to school for electronics and computers so that I can help others. Even if it were as simple as being able to read to my Grand Children that would make me happy and full. I can only imagine the infinite possibilities of what I could achieve if I didn’t have this condition and would be forever grateful for your help to achieve those possibilities.

     I am on a very fixed income from Social Security Disability and struggle financially, I humbly and respectfully would like to request financial assistance in the amount of $20,000 to help with the cost of travel, lodging, food and my stem cell treatment with World Stem Cells LLC. in Cancun, Mexico. Your consideration with this is very much appreciated.
