On Thursday July 10th I finally brought Fancy in to get what I thought was a cyst looked at on her front Elbow. They did a simple aspiration and X-ray's because of her horrible limp that she has been experiencing. Cyst's in cats are common so it has been there for about a year sadly, because my husband and I are in financial hardship horribley. Friday I was told her results appear to be cancerous but will be sent to a specialist to be certain. On Tuesday July 15th I got the dreaded call from the results of her aspiration that she indeed has cancer inside her leg. Fancy will be needing to get a biopsy of the area which as of right now is costing us $500, the aspiration and the x-rays cost $500. After her biopsy which is scheduled for Monday July 21, they will test the leg and decide if she needs an amputation or if the lump may be sucessfully removed. Many people are skeptical of quality of life for cats with leg amputations and I am getting very little support from anyone on this. After doing my research cats do perfectly fine and live happy lives on 3 legs and many people in my life want me to put her to sleep or let her live in misery due to the cost!! Please help me save my precious Fancy's life so she can be out of pain and misery of just her leg! It is very emotional to have a pet sick and knowing she possibely need an amputation but for sure will need anesthesia 2 times in a week span is devistating. But to have people tell me she is better off dead and not want me to help save my baby girl is hear wrentching! No matter if she has the amputation or not she will still need additional surgery which will be a third round $500 or more! Please Help in any way you can save my precious Fancy!
