Campaign Story
After 85 days, DJ Tank has been released from the hospital, and is now back home, to continue his long journey to recovery.
His weight going into the hospital was 210kgs and now down to 160kgs, all do to a stick diet and medication.
Unfortunately because of poor health, he was confined to his bed the majority of the time, and remains very weak.
The doctors attempted 2x's to perform the gastric sleeve surgery, but do to complications with his lungs and air passage, it became too risky and they had to back off, and instead treat him with various medications to control all aspects of his conditions...which resulted in an extra months stay at the hospital.
The good news is that he is out of the hospital, however he is still very weak, not (barely) able to walk for 3 months + pays a toll on your muscles, so the hard work to recovery is really just beginning (post hospital)
This fundraiser is to help him with the basic expenses for the next 6-8 weeks, and hopefully (his personal goal) is to be able to start working again by the end of that time.
Funds raised will be used specifically for things like his medication, oxygen, a large wheelchair ( if anyone has access to one that can be borrowed, it would be very helpful) + basic living expenses.

Tom, I’ve been rooting for you through this journey. Keep it up, I know you will come out on the other side a stronger, better you! Next time I’m in SE Asia I’ll have to try to get to Thailand and say hi. Too bad I didn’t think of it when I spent some time there in 2002! Lots of love, Melody
