Campaign Story
My mom, Sarah has been diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis for the past 5 years. Her symptoms are progressing over time.
Myasthenia gravis is caused by a breakdown in the normal communication between nerves and muscles. There is no cure for myasthenia gravis, but treatment can help relieve signs and symptoms, such as weakness of arm or leg muscles, double vision, drooping eyelids, and difficulties with speech, chewing, swallowing and breathing. She has been advised for Thymectomy (removal of thymus gland) but it in preparation, she needs to strengthen her immunity. Her doctor advised her to undergo IV Ig infusion. This medication is very costly amounting to 50k to 60k per day and she needs to be treated for 5 days. Furthermore, the remaining funds from the IV Ig treatment would be used for the said surgery.
Our family's finances has already been drained due to multiple hospitalizations recently. She is getting weaker and weaker by the moment. We have already sought help from government agencies but with no guarantee to raise the needed amount. I am asking for your fervent prayers and knocking your generous hearts to help our family battle and beat MG for Sarah. I would be truly grateful for your kind acts. Thank you so much.
