Help Sam go to School

My name is Sam Nguyen, and I am from British Columbia on the west coast of Canada. I am very fortunate to have been born in a beautiful place such as British Columbia. I have also been just as fortunate to help people get their health back so they may continue enjoying life to their fullest.

I was accepted into the electrical engineering technologist program at Camosun College this year. I love this program very much, and hope to find a career in the medical field that leads to constructing, repairing, and the maintenance of medical imaging equipment. This would be a dream come true working along side engineers on machines that help to analyse and diagnose health issues in many patients.

Over the course of two years I have been balancing between multiple minimum paying jobs on top of going to school part time, and taking care of my family. My mother was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer last year going through with a successful thyroidectomy procedure. However, she was later diagnosed with osteoporosis, and is going to be having a surgery to her knee. My dad was also diagnosed with chronic hypertension and diabetes in the same year. My mum has not been able to work a single day since her diagnosis, and my father is constantly stressed trying to maintain being financially stable. I've have tried my best to contribute everything I can to help my family out. Nonetheless, it has been a rough journey for all of us in the last couple years.

I've been contributing most of my income to help my family keep afloat and live comfortably enough, while simultaneously saving just enough to pay for my first semester of school. After contributing my heart and soul to helping my family and others out, I'm reaching out to ask for any help you would kindly be able to give me so I may be able to complete my schooling and help people get better. I am more than grateful and appreciative for your time and effort.
