Help Rural Based College Student Teachers to Study Online

Since the COVID-19 pandemic was officially declared a public health threat in our country, all learning institutions were closed indefinitely. Consequently, the government rolled out radio and television digital learning programmes for primary and secondary school learners. Unfortunately Students in Teacher training colleges were left out. It has become even harder for student teachers in rural areas to access any meaningful training yet they are scheduled to sit for their final exams this year. As a teacher trainer I have taken the initiative of mobilizing such students and fellow teacher trainers and well wishers to come up with online teaching interventions so that we can reach out to as many students as possible. I started small using free online resources. The response has been overwhelming. We need funding to help with office equipment, purchase of low cost learner management system (LMS) , online materials, such as e-books and online examination revision materials and other related expenses. Your donation will change many lives as a teacher affects and shapes many innocent young lives.
