Help Rudy kick cancers nasty butt

My name is Roxanne a friend of Rouselle and Rudy. Rudy, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in November 2018. We are from Gauteng, South Africa.

Rudy is 41 years old and they have 2 little boys. He was diagnosed with a stubborn strain of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The doctor's have tried 2 types of chemotherapy, and is now trying a third.

The best treatment for his Cancer is Polivy (Immunotherapy-the drug is also called Polatuzumab). This drug has proven well in placing patients such as him in remission. However it is only FDA approved in the United States and certain parts of Europe, even though some South Africans have also used it. Hence, at this moment medical aids will not pay for the drug, and if we are to use it we need to order it.

The drug costs approximately R1 500 000-R1 800 000. He has been through horrible side-effects with each chemotherapy and has caught many infections due to his weakened immune system. This drug works better than chemotherapy, for his particular cancer, with minimal harm to his body.

Reaching this target will mean that Rudy will have a greater chance at a long happy life with his family and that his sons will have their dad and Rouselle will have her husband by her side for many years. It will also create awareness of the efficacy of the drug.

The drug is approximately R1 500 000 for the amount required for the course. This also depends on his weight. It could amount to more with importing fees, commissions and drug administration etc. We are not quite sure yet.
