Help Rory Compete in France

My name is Rory Scheffer and I am a 24 year old student based in Cape Town, South Africa.

I am an aspiring trail runner, with hopes of one day becoming a professional athlete.

It has always been a dream of mine to compete internationally and this year an opportunity has come up for me to compete in a trail race in France.

The event is a 45km trail race against some of the biggest names in the sport of trail running and held in the Mont Blanc mountains. The competition is going to be tough!

Competing internationally will help to jumpstart my racing career and help me gain valuable exposure back in South Africa and internationally. This will help in progressing me further in the sport and will put me on the right track to pursue my goal of becoming a professional athlete.

being a full time student and training at this level is very time consuming, therefore I can not afford to get to this race on my own. I am looking for any help to get me there. Any help would be appreciated.

In addition to helping me, 20% of all the money that is raised will go to a charity called Touch Africa, based in South Africa. This is a charity close to my heart and I'm really excited to be getting involved.

Touch Africa is involved in making school a better place in the rural areas of South Africa and have, to date, set up numerous container libraries to the schools to help the child have better access to better education.
