Help Ron fight Crohn’s disease

Update posted by Albertine June Din On May 23, 2019

On May 18, Ron's doctor advised him to undergo a surgery for the following day. The doctor created an ileostomy. After his successful surgery, he has been recovering, but will soon need to start his medication for Crohn's Disease.

Ron's family has been very grateful for the warm support of people, including those who have sent financial help via GoGetFunding. However, this week, his condition has taken a turn for the worse due to infections.

Before Ron starts his biologic infusion, he first needs this treatment for his infections. Unfortunately, early this week, the doctor saw the need to operate on him to remove a mass blocking his intestines. Ron has also been feeling weak from not being able to eat, as he throws up whenever he tries. Worse, he has been transferring hospitals since they have been asking for referral to be admitted to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

As such, we are very much in need of your prayers and donations. The bills have been piling up and some hospitals decline to admit patients who are not able to prove financial capability to pay for the expenses.

On the other hand, an update came from Ron's mentor at university, Dr. Alviar:

Right before things turned for the worse in February, Ron Dangcalan was writing a journal article for an international publication --based on his masteral thesis-- but didn't manage to finish it. His colleagues, however, decided to work together to put the finishing touches, and submitted Ron's article with his consent. His article has been accepted, and here it is

Let us help Ron to produce more quality research. Let us help him win his battle against Crohn's disease. Please help Ron by sending money directly to his bank accounts, or via this Paypal.

We are all positive that Ron can get through this. Please help us make this a reality.

HELP 1500 Hungry Kids in India The Feed India Foundation started out trying to help 200 hungry orphans in the immediate in India. Feed India a team of volunteers have been feeding these children twice a week but, as word spreads, more and more hungry children are arriving. Some of them are walking 17km to get to the resource centre for a meal. Recently, numbers have been over 1500. This is a huge undertaking to give food and hope to so many starving children. We gratefully acknowledge the support we have received so far but none of us envisaged the numbers swelling from 1200 to 1500+. All of them need a meal and none should be turned away hungry. Please help us to continue this vital work. $10 will feed one child for a year (2 meals a week atm) This is such a small amount per child.... but 1500+ children.... it soon becomes a real challenge... thank you for your generosity
