"I can tell you in all honesty, the thing that makes me happy today is that I have no regrets in this life."

On the 9th of September this year (a week before my Dad's 62nd birthday) our family heard the news that our loving and caring father had been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has spread to parts of his liver. The support from family and friends since then has been a blessing. Most importantly my dad has kept his usual positive attitude in tact and has been an inspiration to us and those he has met in the chemotherapy room. Anyone who has ever met my dad during his life as a work leader, teacher and caregiver can attest to the fact that he is generous of spirit, strong of will and has enriched the lives of everyone that knows him (he's also an amazing chef). Together we are now on a journey to help our dad fight this disease on multiple fronts. 1. Medical 2. Nutritional 3. Spiritual

We've since determined that even though we are lucky enough that our medical insurance covers some of the chemotherapy there are a lot of related additional costs that are accruing quickly. Housing , nutritional supplements as well as extra medical costs are causing us to start this fundraiser to help cover some of these finances. We'd also like to pursue new medical advances such as targeted immunotherapy, but the costs involved with this are prohibitively high. Any donations will enable us to open doors and opportunities for my dad that we currently are unable to. We're making this an ongoing fundraiser as there is a 3-6 months chemotherapy process that is our first challenge to help our dad get through.

Thank you for considering to donate. We're here because we love our dad and we feel he has spent his life putting others around him first. He deserves the best help he can get.
