Family is the most important part of life

My family is far away, affected by the typhoon in the Philippines. There is a helpless feeling that I cannot describe to you in words. Knowing that you cannot help your loved ones. My fiancé and our daughter are located in the Philippines and I currently do not have the means to move them here to the country I am working in. Our daughter is two years old at the moment, we are teaching her two foreign languages, French and English. She likes to listen to Gangnam style and dance too.

My background

My work is in training young people in sales and marketing and setting up sales and business processes for start ups. Currently, I am working in a small startup, tech company to help expand the market and client base. I am American and have been living out of country for two and a half years.

Our story

My fiancé is filipina, we met a few years ago at a bus station in Manila. It was one of those things thatmyou never expect to happen, like true love story. I saw that she was struggling with some bags of groceries as she entered the bus,mso I offered her a hand. She rejected of course. even so, I reached over and grabbed ahold of some of the bags and took them from her as I followed her onto the bus. we stood next to each other on the bus and had a light hearted talk and then parted ways a few stops later. I handed her her bags as she left. The following day, I took the same bus and ran into her again. We talked again. We laughed together and had fun on the bus, we then started to catch the bus together to see one another. A month or so past and I finally asked her out for coffee. It seems we were meant for each other as we sat staring eye to eye in a small, empty cafe near the busy streets of Manila. As my time neared its end for my work in Manila we met regularly. I soon had to leave though as my project was complete. We stayed in touch for months through Skype and by phone. Then we started to visit each other, once every 6 months, for two months at a time. Our daughter was soon born. Five months ago I located to Bulgaria, the project is long and we have not seen one another since.

How your donation will help

My project in Bulgaria is underpaid and my family is suffering from the recent typhoon Haiyan. Your donations will go to helping my family come together in Bulgaria. Your donation will help buy formula (Nido 123), help cover travel costs and travel document costs for my daughter and my fiancé.
