Help Replace My Laptop

Hi, my name is Alice W. Castle and I need some help replacing my laptop.

My current laptop is over five years old (it predates even Windows 8) and is currently falling apart. The hinge has shattered and the fan is basically useless, causing the laptop to frequently overheat and freeze. It's basically useless and impossible to use for any length of time.

I'm looking to start editing video and audio as part of a YouTube channel and podcast series that I'm starting as well as using my laptop for college work so I'm in desperate need for a new computer.

While I'll likely be able to cover most of the expenditure of a new laptop, I'm asking for anything to help cover the cost of it.
