Hello, my name is Stella I am a Ghanaian living in Austria. I was a student of Peki Secondary School from 1974-1976. Today retired from active service, my year mates and I are trying to help our Alma Mater. The Science Lab of this High School (in Ghana), is in a depressingly deplorable state. Teachers are so uninspired but try their best to provide theoretical studies in a run-down building without basic science equipment to carry out any type of practical experiments. In this condition, the school is incapable of producing quality future scientists and doctors in this state. The excitement, inspiration and intuition of children in this high school are being numbed out and this impacts their intelligence. We believe that children have the right to grow in the right environment and to be competitive in this globalised world given the appropriate environment and a level playing field. Assistance to the school will also help students to graduate to the next level and limit young Africans taking chances by traveling to Europe via dangerous means for a "better" future.
I appreciate the assistance of all the beautiful people who believe that children need quality education and a level playing field no matter the country they live in, thereby fulfilling the United Nations SDG 4 (quality education for all). Thank you so much for helping us help the children of Peki Senior High School.
