Help Refugees to Get Education

Seeds of Humanity is a Palestinian organization that works with refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants in Athens, Greece. The organization was initiated two and half years ago. Our main services focus on providing dental and medical services for our beneficiaries on a daily basis. Furthermore, we have missions once a month of distributing food and hygiene products. This year, our main focus is on developing and expanding the educational programs focusing on children, youth and women. We believe that education will enhance our beneficiaries integration process and open job opportunities for them.
This funds will help us to create a project that aims to mitigate the challenges that the children face in schools. provide Greek classes and homework assistant for children ages between 6-12 years old through accompanied sustainable program that will be held in our center. We will provide the kids by the materials needed for schools (pencils, notebooks, back bags etc).
The children will be divided into three age groups (6-8, 8-10, 10-12), the program will last for six months. Each day will include 15 child and each class will last for two hours after the school.
Our program activities will be the following:
1- Train the teachers and the volunteers in a psychological workshop that aims to give a background and deep explanation about the beneficiaries situation.
2- Held homework assisting classes for the children in English, Greek and Math. (between 14:30 - 15:30).
3- Teach Greek classes level 1 +2 for children

During the six month program we aim to support 75 children in different ages.
