Campaign Story
On Saturday the 2nd of September, our nanny's informal house burnt down. She's currently 7 months pregnant and the mother of a two year old girl. Having been in this situation before, we know what it feels like to have lost everything and to have to start again, fortunately when our own house burnt down years ago we had lots of support from friends and were able to get back on our feet with ease. Yanela's situation is different because she doesn't have a lot of support and needs our help to rebuild her home just before her baby arrives. Everything was lost in the fire from legal documents, clothing, household appliances and food. Her house no longer stands. We've done as much as we can to help Yanela but we're now calling on friends and family to donate what they can towards important things like building materials, a mattress, appliances and baby essentials. Whatever you donate, big or small will really be appreciated.

I really hope you reach the target. I don't know you or the people effected in this fire, but looking at that child makes me realize that you really are in need. I hope this donation makes a difference.
