We are a group of friends of paramedical and medical students from Cebu City who aims to help rebuild typhoon victims lives through volunteering works. Project: Medicinae et Cibum Auxilium started as a simple help for a friend who was a typhoon victim once. This simple act of helping a friend get up from a catastrophic event ignited the idea. Now we are stretching our project into communities.
Hippocrates once said " Let Food be thy Medicine and Medicine be thy Food". Our group simply believe that people should be provided by two of the most important necessities of human existence now a days- Medicine and Food. Project: Medicinae et Cibum Auxilium`s goal is to provide assistance to those communities which are getting back up after a typhoon.
Being a typhoon victim gives you a little or nothing to spare. In an effort to start from what was left, victims, more often than not, tends to forget the most important factor in the recovery stage - themselves. Project: Medicinae et Cibum Auxilium aims to help the victims get a start again through feeding programs and free medical assistance, providing medical check-ups, giving free medicines and educating the victims about the importance of their health.
Our next target barangay is barangay Pitogo of Consolacion, Cebu, Philippines which was devasted by typhoon Auring just this January.
With this we will be very grateful with any assistance that you can impart.
