Help Rana and her three sons

I am Nabillah Farooq from Canada. I need your support to help Rana & her 3 sons (20 yrs, 17 yrs & 10 yrs) Single mother of three came to Canada with the onset of Corona.

She fled Palestine to protect herself & her eldest son. He was wrongly arrested & tortured by the authorities in Palestine. The senior officer was trying to get his hands on Rana because of her religion and customs. He arrested her eldest son and physically & psychologically tortured him. He used that to pressurize her & her family to reveal herself as her friends & family have continuously hidden her from this officer. He did a lot to put pressure on her. This officer couldn't stand the rejection & defeat. He holds a prestigious position and nobody refused him. Thus, Rana couldn’t get help from anywhere for her & eldest son’s safety and protection. During the painful period when her son was arrested, her family suggested that she leaves Palestine & live abroad for her & her children’s safety. Leaving her family behind was a tough decision Rana had made for the safety of her children’s lives.

Because of her trade work, she was able to travel and this helped her earn money for the ticket price, hotel, and some money from local sales. She came to Canada as a refugee with the onset of Corona. Her son managed to get a job, and the limited funds that she came with were all paid towards her rent, utilities etc.

She and her son’s work permit has expired & she was under the impression that the work permit is renewed once it expires. So, at moment she has applied for a new work permit so they can work.

They will receive their work permit in 90 days.

At moment she is hand to mouth. The Government assistance is very minimum. She has no money to pay her bills. She hasn’t paid the rent for the month of November 2021. She feels extremely frustrated and hopeless. Your financial support will help provide them with what they need during these difficult & stressful 4 months from becoming homeless.

She needs help only for 4 months till she and her elder son receive their work permit and find a job again. Rana and her sons are hardworking. They will work very hard to become the best examples of new Canadians, contributing many times over the opportunity for freedom and safety that is being granted to them by their new country.

Breakdown Of Expenses For Four Months:

$7200 for apartment rent. $1800/m

$1200 electricity, water, garbage.

$240 Internet

$5600 Grocery cost for a family of 4 (1400/m)

$800 Commute 50/m (TTC)

$120 Home Insurance $30/m

$2400 for three months of therapy. $600/ person for 3 months. They have been through tremendous trauma and grief. They need to heal, and this fee is for bi-weekly therapy for each family member.
