Hi there,
My name is Nayim and i'm currently volunteering here at 'A Joy Kindergarten school' in Mafinga, Tanzania. I've spent almost 2 weeks here and will be here for a further 2 months. In that time I have done my small part to help the teachers and the school as much as possible, but there is only so much one can do by himself. Hence why I am reaching out to a broader community to see whether there are more like minded people willing to help and provide a good sustainable water and power supply to the school here in Mafinga.
The school is located in Mafinga, in the Iringa district, one of the poorest regions in western Tanzania. Using a modern approach, this school is the only one to offer free education and free food to over 110 children aged from 3 to 9. The project itself has been running since 2017, and has given more than 350 children food and education since then. In my own mind I see this as a massive achievement, but for the staff and the parents here, they see a much brighter future with the school existing and plead that others around the world help support them in keeping the lights on and the water pumping.
The funding requested for this particular project is mainly to purchase new solar panels in order to give the battery beneath the ground enough power to run water from the well, all the way up to a water tank positioned above ground. This will then not only supply fresh, clean, drinkable water for all children and staff, but shall also be used to water a dry patch of land aimed at growing a fresh crop of fruit & vegetables, therefore supplying them with sustainable electricity, water and food for many years to come.
Its a project that I'm personally very proud to be apart of, and happy that whilst being on this earth, I have done my small part in helping others share the love of education and food through sheer will and dedication to help our future children become the best that they can be.
Any help will be hugely appreciated, whether it's a small donation or just sharing this fundraiser with your circle through social media etc.
Thank you for taking the time to have read through this, and I really hope that you can also contribute in your own little way no matter what.
Kindest Regards,
Nayim Ahmed, Albert Kahai,
And from all the staff and children here at 'A Joy Kindergarten'
