Help Raise Funds for My Brother’s Hospitalization

Help raise my brother's hospital fees.

Many people know Burt Sarmiento, who studied in UP-Diliman, as a call center employee, NGO worker and activist. He is a great guy, well-loved by friends and colleagues.

He was hospitalized on October 7 because of Covid-like symptoms. He tested negative for Covid-19, but was diagnosed with pneumonia. Severe stress and lack of sleep caused by personal problems made healing more difficult for him.

He has stayed in Delos Santos Medical Center and as of this writing (October 29), his hospital bill has reached more than PhP 1.2M (USD 30,000), that's on top of the partial payments made to the hospital. He is set to be transferred to government-owned Lung Center of the Philippines soon.

He did not receive many months of salary from his previous work, causing his meager savings to be depleted. The family's savings is being used for his daily medicine and regular lab tests.

I am asking for your support. We need to pay his existing hospital bills and the forthcoming costs of hospitalization. Burt is a good guy, cares for many people and has helped many. We are grateful to those who are giving support. Thank you very much. We will be forever grateful.
