Paul henson oallesma, 18 years old, 1st year comp eng'g at mmsu, is suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. He was diagnosed last october 2020 and immediately underwent chemotherapy treatment. His first treatment caused him internal bleeding and gastrointestinal infections with a severe low blood count. He was at the icu for 15 days and was intubated for 6 days. He stayed at the hospital for more than 1 month with continuous blood transfusions (rbc and platelet concentrate). At this moment he is done with his 2nd cycle chemotheraphy treatment and his blood count is under critical level again.
