Update for everyone who donated!

Chin Chin and I have reached our goal today, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so much for everyone who supported, backed, and donated to this campaign. We couldn't have done it without you.

So how is Chin-Chin doing now? She's doing GREAT!!! She has some separation anxiety issues (just like her mommy, aka me lmao) but apart from that, she's a healthy, happy pup so far!

She's also grown a lot:

And she's also CRAZY smart and can do a ton of tricks!!!

Thank you so much for all your help and support, everyone! We are forever grateful!

My father bought Chin Chin off a vendor on the side of the road for about PHP300, roughly 5 US dollars. She was a month old then, and was supposed to be a surprise Christmas present.

But before I knew about Chin Chin, my father, hard-headed as he is, had no idea that puppies shouldn't be separated from their mothers that young, much less be held for sale in a cardboard box off the sidewalk.

He began feeding her scraps and leftovers, gave her a cold bath. My brother and I have tried to tell him not to do these things, but there was no stopping him. He's always been stubborn.

After a week, Chin Chin got sick, and started excreting worms and blood. My brother and I had to rush her to an emergency vet one night, and again the following morning.

She's in my care now, but her first week with us was spent on rushing her to the emergency vet twice, regular vet fees, deworming shots, booster shots, rabies shots, and medicine.

As of now she's grown better, but the expenses soon turned into puppy milk, chew toys, a crate - the essentials of taking care of a now 2-month old puppy, all of which were way beyond my means.

My father had no idea it was going to cost this much, and is now frustrated with Chin Chin - but I love her, and her comfort, company, and joy makes the late nights waking up to feed her absolutely worth it.

But as much as we want to ensure she lives a happy, healthy life, I can't afford it as of the moment.

I've considered animal shelters and giving her up for adoption. This is the practical choice, but living in the Philippines where pet care isn't a priority, and good vets are scarce, it's hard to ensure that Chin Chin's next owner will take care of her the way a 2-month old puppy should be taken care of. She's grown quite attached to me and my brother now, and we can't bear to think of separating her from us.

This is why I need your help.

We want Chin Chin to grow up to be a healthy, happy dog - and that means getting quality healthcare and other things that ensure she lives a good, healthy, happy life.

At the moment, I am looking for other part-time jobs in order to provide for Chin-Chin. But at the moment, there's nothing I can spend for her at all.

My brother and I would be extremely grateful for any amount, should you wish to donate. We'll keep you guys posted on Chin Chin as much as we can. Right now, she's amazing at tricks- she's a very good girl. I'll post some videos soon!

Any amount would be such a great help, and all funds will go to Chin Chin's.

For those without PayPal account, donations may be sent to PayMaya via 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines. Here's how:

1. Visit a Cliqq Kiosk in a 7-Eleven store.

2. Select eMoney, then PayMaya

3. Enter the amount you wish to load up, and the mobile number (0917 109 97 27)
