Help Put The Meow Back In Cupcake’s Step!

Hi!

A year ago my family and I were being evicted from our Chicago apartment, so a friend packed us up and drove us (leaving most of our belongings behind) to North Eastern PA to start fresh (I was born and raised here.) We brought our cats with us, who I raised from birth. Well, having no place to live at first, we stayed with family and friends, and eventually ended up at my sister's house, no pets allowed. I left my cats with a friend, and they got out and went missing. A month later we were in our our home and ready to get them back. The SPCA called and said they had Cupcake, we were overjoyed, we got Cupcake home.

Fast forward a few months, we're struggling financially, and Cupcake begins to lose weight. This goes on and off, we try to get vet money, but then a bill comes, resulting in us having to pay the bill instead. A month ago my fiance lost his job on the same day I got a call about my mom having a heart attack. His last check went towards those expenses as well as the light bill and some few $1 foods and cat food. Cupcake has again taken a turn for the worse, and I fear if he does not get to a vet soon, he'll die. We don't have money to pay rent at this time, let alone afford to save Cupcake. Cupcake is my baby, my best friend, my rock, my confidant and so much more. On top of it all, today the dresser drawer fell on him, he's already weak as is, and now he has a hurt leg (doesn't seem to be broken, but he limps on it.) All night I have been worried sick over getting him to a vet. Our local vet is an amazing guy, and rather affordable, but we only have $11 to our name, let alone vet money.

This is why I made this. I cannot give up on Cupcake, he's never given up on me. After all we've been through this year, I cannot lose him. He deserves a healthy, happy life with those who love him more than we love ourselves. I would sell stuff to afford his vet bill, but sadly we don't have much of anything that's worth selling. This is why I ask all animal lovers, or even those with kind hearts who want to help a family going through very rough times. Please, if you can, help us prevent another heart break this year. Cupcake is very important to our entire family, even our toddler son. We are just at a really bad time in our lives, and need a helping hand saving someone who is very dear to us. Losing Cupcake would be like losing a child. Any amount at all will help us take him to our vet, and I fear we don't have much time. I will show proof the money is for the vet visit if we raise enough to take him.
