Help prevent the spread of the Corona virus

COVID-19 uniquely threatens Palestinians in Gaza. 2 million people in Gaza cannot isolate themselves safely - there is simply no place - and no one can leave the area. Moreover, Israel only supplied 200 COVID-19 tests to about 2 million people. It is a disaster awaited.

Gaza is still COVID-19 at present, with the exception of two quarantine cases at the Rafah crossing. But after 14 years of embargo, war and bombings by Israel, Palestinians in Gaza face an acute shortage of medical resources and personnel. Health officials warn that if the virus enters Gaza, containment and treatment under the Israeli blockade will be nearly impossible.

"Gaza is undoubtedly the most livable place," says Middle East correspondent Olaf Queens. The United Nations also warned this years ago, that by 2020, Gaza will become inoperable, it is 2020, and the situation has worsened.

The news that two people were infected with the Corona virus had terrified the Gaza Strip. “It looks like the end of the world,” a woman says to the island. I was so scared for my kids and banned them out. Doctors are very concerned: “This epidemic will be a major challenge, if it is the largest and most powerful country in the world fighting because of it, how will you resist it in Gaza?”
