Pippin is a 15 year old puppy who has multiple tooth abscesses.
I say that Pippin is a “puppy” because he has an exuberant energy and absolutely loves being the center of attention; everyone he meets is his best friend.
We are raising money for a surgery that he needs: to remove multiple teeth and treat the abscesses. On top of this, Pippin has a heart arrhythmia - his heart beats more times per minute than normal.
Everyone loves their pets; I would do anything to get Pippin the surgery that he needs.
To understand why I’m fundraising, I feel that you need to understand our situation:
My boyfriend and I live in an apartment in the heart of Toronto with plenty of space for Pippin to roam and play in our large backyard. We have been hit with hardship including the loss of jobs and a debilitating chronic pain condition that has rendered Celeste unable to work.
Every spare penny is set aside to help fund this surgery. The entire family has gathered to help Pippin, but the amount of income available is a little underwhelming (although EXTREMELY appreciated). We have already had to cancel this surgery once.
What is a tooth abscess?
A tooth abscess is a severe infection that develops around the root of a tooth.
Why raise money for this surgery?
Right now, Pippin is taking medication to extend the amount of time that we have before the infection spreads. There is a chance that if continued to be left untreated, it can set up an infection in other parts of the body and in some cases, even cause death.
With Pippin’s heart condition, this surgery requires a little more attention and it will include x-rays.
There is a greater risk with this surgery that Pippin will not make it; This is something that we do not want to think about.
How much do you need?
Roughly $1600 for the surgery, medications, x-rays, and follow up. We will keep raising money until we have collected the full amount.
