Help Pedro move from India to Belgium

Pedro is a street puppy who got a chance to move from India to Europe and be adopted. Here is his story.

When Pedro was a puppy, he had a caretaker, but the man left and didn't take Pedro with him. The puppy stayed all alone and hungry, roaming on the streets in search of food and shelter.

Every day we at Karma Animal Trust were stopping by to feed him. Soon he found a way to our clinic and started to come daily to ask for food and attention.

Pedro's visits became a problem to the people living next to the clinic. The puppy was pooping on their territory. They were angry and wanted to dump him in the jungle.

As we are not a shelter and could not keep Pedro at the clinic, we found a paid foster home for him and started to search for adoption.

In India, no one wanted to adopt Pedro. With the lockdown, sending him abroad became a complicated task. Very few flights accept pets on board and even less people agree to become flight volunteers. But miracles do happen.

An amazing lady agreed to escort Pedro on her flight from Delhi to Paris. There he will be picked up by Roxanna, a rescuer from Belgium.

Roxanna has helped hundreds of rescued dogs to find forever homes in Europe. We know her very well and are amazed by her work. Roxanna will find the best family for Pedro. Untill then, he will be staying at her cozy home.

It's going to be a long and costly trip. From Rishikesh to Delhi, then a flight to France, then to Belgium by car.

❗Pedro is flying to Paris on January 8, so we urgently need your help to raise funds for his journey.

We will need to pay for:

Pedro's flight ticket

• paper work
• crate
• microchip
• taxi from Rishikesh to Delhi
• airport assistance

Most of it has already been raised so we only need $280 more.
