Campaign Story
I'm Taariq, a 21 year's old full time scholar pursuing bachelor degree in law at the university of Dodoma in Tanzania.
But there’s a problem and short version of my story is that...
My dad loans money from friends to pays for my tuition fee and the student loan board only funds my meals and accomodation plus stationary fee.
On July this year my grandmother who raised me and taught me almost everything I now know passes away she was in semi comma paralysis in her lat days. To cover all the funeral expenses my dad had to withdraw from his savings which included money intended to cover my college education.
Two weeks later,On 8th/08 this same year my step mom was pregnancy operated to save my baby sisters life and hers both and it cost 1,000,000 Tanzania shillings estimated to 437.40 USD minus other hospital expenses including 4 days bed rest which all Intended to save her life and my babysisters.
The money used in both dreadful events was my dads future savings including my second year tuition fee which the first semester starts on november😔.
Currently my dad is struggling with his factory employment on top of that he has to provide home, take care of my recovering mother and sister,provide for my college education and pay back his loans in this time of hardship.
Here’s what we’re doing about it
recently were are thinking on what home appliances to sell as to cover all these and pay the loans. I'm now working as a part time bartender earning 4 USD per day. Judging my family status right now i know for sure we won't make up for my tuition fee so all I'm thinking is to postponing my studies and help my family earn money.
My tuition fee costs is estimated exactly 656.11 USD minus direct cost per year and I've got three year's left. Annual fee its payable for two terms each being 328.04 USD
Additional 400 USD will be will be enough to start a simple business
All the above figures are conversion of Tanzanian shilling's into USD
My family and I we can only afford two meals if we are luck being in Tanzania as a least developing country life is super hard but its easy to cope with the system
