In the last ten years, Gaza Strip has suffered three major wars and unjustified attacks by the Israeli military forces, which led to thousands of victims and a devastating destruction to thousands of houses and major damage to the infrastructure of the Gaza Strip.

In addition, Gaza has been under siege for over 12 years, which has turned it into a big prison for more than two millions people.

This has resulted in an overwhelming economic situation where the poverty and unemployment rate has reached over 70%.

These circumstances has made it almost impossible for students to continue their higher and college education.

With its motto, “poverty will not prohibit anyone from continuing their education”, Israa University was established to offer an opportunity for an affordable and unique high quality education for all
