Help Our Underprivileged Children for A Tertiary Education Opportunity

Well, let's get started. This fund is being raised for tertiary education of the underprivileged children of Persatuan Kebajikan Sri Saradha Devi Illam. We believe that these underprivileged children deserve an equal opportunity to education just like the others. Their development and growth should be emphasized. A well educated individual will be able to contribute positively to the community and country in the future. Let's hold hands to help these children to upgrade their lives through education.

Let me start by introducing Persatuan Kebajikan Sri Saradha Devi Illam to you. We are a home providing shelter for underprivileged young children. We aim to provide our children with good education equipped with all basic necessities in order to promote excellent growth physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. As such, many classes and activities are being conducted for the growth and development of our children here. Currently, we have collaborated with the WHET Academy to provide first-ever Diploma in Culinary Arts for the SPM leavers in our home. It will be a 2.5 years tertiary level course for the children. Classes will be conducted in-house at our home by the tutors from WHET Academy. The main reason we have initiated this is to provide tertiary level education to our children in order to provide a secured life for them in the future. Education plays an important role in ensuring a secured life. We would want them to stand on their own feet and support themselves in the future.

The cost of the Diploma for a child amounts to RM 25, 700.00 ($ 6,182). We have 10 children who will be enrolling for the course. As such, we need RM 257,000.00 ($ 61,823) to be raised to support their education. We hereby humbly request all good Samaritans and kind hearts to contribute towards this good cause in order to enable our children to pursue their tertiary education.
