Campaign Story
Help raise funds to keep LSOH Tattoos & Piercing alive
We have been running Little shop of Horrors Tattoos and Piercing (LSOH) for 9 years now. Our current financial situation is dire at best. We have had 3 retail shops over the years, each one we have closed due to lack of funding. We built each shop by ourselves, bare hands and all, with little to no capital and only a good reputation. Both my husband and I have no external help from parents, family or friends. No medical Aid. No car/transport and a little one to feed.We are in serious debt from trying to pay for double cremations and accommodation for my husband's parents, who both passed away within a week of one another last year June.We have no access to credit facilities as we are both blacklisted. In 2017 we had to close our previous retail shop due to mass theft by junior staff. We were forced to move home, into the cottage on our rented property. We converted the cottage to a studio ourselves. Then we got broken into in 2019. 9 times to be exact. They stole all our tattoo equipment, laptops, phones etc. We did not have the funds to replace these items/get insurance/buy a better lockable door due to total lack of funds. This year, just when I thought I couldn't be knocked down any harder, the COVID-19 pandemic has seriously affected our business. We live hand to mouth and cannot even afford to pay house rent at this point. We are extremely passionate about what we do, and we love to create body art at good prices even though we no longer have a fancy shop. Our reputation has kept us alive all these years, however I fear it is no longer enough. Tattooing is a very tough industry to succeed in, especially when you do not have access to funding for marketing, stock etc.. We have kept our chins up through thick and thin, and now we face closing down our shop, our dream, our everything if we do not receive some kind of help. Please help us.
