"You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." 2 Corinthians 9:11

Please help my father Victor Reginaldo & mother Lolita Reginaldo win their battle against Covid-19. Your assistance through this site is greatly appreciated. You may also donate through GCash 09151323749 and BDO 006240068550 (Marianne T Reginaldo).

My parents recently got infected by Covid-19, as senior citizens they have developed complications that their attending physicians HIGHLY recommended for them to be admitted in a tertiary hospital to immediately address their needs.

Our family tried to put up funds together. savings have been used up but it is still not enough to compensate all the expenses.

March 24, 2021 - Our mom tested positive for Covid-19 via Rapid Anti-Gen. We tried to prevent it by taking Immuno Pro(vitamin c and zinc), drinking ginger tea, consistent steam inhalation, complete hours of rest, healthy food, etc.

After 3 days, mom started to have fever, muscle pain, severe fatigue, and dry cough. She felt weak and lost her appetite in eating/drinking. They took prescribed paracetamol (Biogesic), Fluimucil (dry cough) and other vitamins.

On the 5th day, March 29, 2021 despite preventative measures, Dad also started to demonstrate symptoms. He eventually started to have severe headache, dry cough and fever. They both tried to fight it but the viral infection was too strong and it deteriorated their immune system.

With their symptoms getting worst everyday, we tried to seek professional help by scheduling for online consultation but with no luck. We were totally at a loss as it was our first time to encounter such situation.

We kept our ground, determined to find help. We were on the line, calling 24/7 to just book an appointment. It was a consistent rejection after rejection. By God’s grace, Dra. Ailen Albaña-Tamargo of St. Vincent Hospital accepted the appointment at very last minute, which was at 5:00pm.

Dra. Albaña-Tamargo explained to us how critical our situation was. We were advised to have both our parents be admitted to the nearest emergency room. Since most if not all hospitals all over the country are at full capacity we resolved into doing home care remedies while looking for a hospital. Dra. Albaña-Tamargo gave prescriptions, requested for laboratory tests, ECG, etc as soon as possible. Again, another 24/7 online and telephone hunting for hospitals, clinics. At this time, medical facilities do not accept walk-ins. All over NCR hospitals (primary-tertiary) were all in full capacity. For 4 days non-stop, friends and relatives called to inquire, ask for assistance from local government units, private hospitals yet, we were still unfortunate.

We truly understand that no one is ever prepared for this pandemic, and this became a survival mode for each and everyone especially in our beloved country. All hands are tied, everyone is lost and time is of the essence. This was a drastic torture and as much as we can, we will move mountains to save our loved ones.

With no hospital, clinic, doctor teleconsult or any LGU help; The Medical City Home Care Program (Program B at 65000 & Program C at 33900) was able to accept our request to avail the program. This was one of our last resort just to have a medical specialist to monitor and check up on our parents. It's very expensive but we grabbed the opportunity as we were running out of time.

As observed by doctors, our parents started to have difficulty breathing. And so they highly recommended for them to be admitted to a hospital as soon as possible. Again with long hospital queue, even in One Command Center, we do not have anything to do but to wait. And so, we tried to bring the hospital home and started purchasing oxygen in can, oxygen tanks, Oximeter to monitor O2 saturation, blood pressure monitor, thermometer, etc. to remedy the situation. We also purchased medical supplies like nasal cannula, face masks, nebulizer, concentrators, continues supply of medicines like Clexane, Dexamethasone, Losartan, Clexime and 10 other pills needed for them to avoid further complications. All these was driven by the fact that we do not want to just stand and watch them suffer. It resulted to used up all our savings, to asked closest friends and relatives for their financial support and to even borrow money to sustain.

April 7, 2021 one slot was available at Antipolo Hospital System Annex 4, and so we have to weigh and CHOOSE who among them have a critical condition. And so, we sent our mom because she started to develop pneumonia. She was sent and stayed outside via hospital tent overnight plus one day (under heat of the sun) and wait to be admitted. Tests, ECG and X-Ray was conducted and primary attending physician informed us that they since they are a primary hospital they are not equipped if any complications will happen and they are not to he held liable since we were informed about the situation. And so, they are still recommended to be admitted in a tertiary hospital due to developed pneumonia and their fragility due to their age.

April 8 2021, we received a call from GreenCity Medical Care located in Pampanga City which is 40-50 kilometres away from our place. With not enough manpower, but desperate for them to be admitted we did send our dad on his own.

Expenses GreenCity: P60,000 consumable As of April 10, 2021: P42,000 ambulance transfer P14,000 Rendesivir (1 vial) x2. April 11, 2021 additional for my mom P30,000 consumable

My family and I understand that this is a difficult time for all of us but we are appealing to the kindness of your hearts to help us fight this battle.
