HELP OUR MAMA, LET HER STAY A LITTLE LONGER WITH US.

DELFINA SAYAS BAGIOEN more known as DEL SAYAS. A fighter, a servant, a loving mom, a loving grandma. My mama is our very source of strength and light. I can say that mama has had so many hardships in her life that she has fought and endured. Yet another hardship is now being faced by her and our family.

In the past month’s mama has been enduring what we thought was just acid reflux, a side effect due to high blood sugar. But little do we know it was a more serious issue. Last January 19, 2021, my family have scheduled her for a check-up after seeing how weak she was. She was supposed to have an ultrasound and ECG in a clinic but they need a swab test after seeing that my mama is showing some symptoms of Covid-19. Mama was so weak and she had trouble breathing. She was hurriedly brought to the Emergency room of the hospital. The hospital has run a test and found out that she had sudden heart attacks, severe pneumonia, high type 2 diabetes, infections, etc. She is in a dire condition that the Doctors asked if her immediate family was all in reach. After hearing that our tears come running down our cheeks, our heart was so broken, just thinking of losing her makes us lose our sanity. With all the efforts the doctors were able to save her at that time. But she still needs to get an emergency operation but the hospital does not have the facility/equipment to make the procedures. She was immediately transferred to the nearest hospital that will be able to cater to her needs. Time was our worst enemy.

The moment she was transferred she underwent an angiogram, angioplasty, and stent implant which costs more than half a million peso. She was admitted to the CCU (Coronary Care Unit) for almost 3 days. Right now, she is transferred in a room still being strictly monitored.

Although we as a family make money, it will not be enough to pay the bills we’re currently and will be facing. We are humbly asking someone, anyone of you, to helps us fight for our mother’s life. She is our core source of strength, our wall, our light. May you be a part of our fight for our light, her life.

From all of this, it looks like we need to prepare a total of 1 million Pesos or even more to successfully get mama out of this ordeal. We have already reached out to our family and friends but as the hospital bills continue to increase, we had considered creating this GoFundMe account. Any amount is most welcome and we would be grateful for any help and support you are able to provide.
