Our dearest Mama Chit is sick. She’s very sick.
Last September, our mother, Mama Chit got admitted in Clinica Antipolo due to acute choledocholithiasis (Acute choledocholithiasis results when stones form in the gallbladder and then pass into the common bile duct, where they may become lodged and cause obstruction). We believed it would be a straightforward surgery since she has been in discomfort for 2 months on and off.
We never thought that what was supposed to be a simple procedure would have her admitted in the hospital for more than 3 weeks.
There was Rectosigmoid mass t/c perforation, hepatic nodule and gall stones found during her stay. She was supposed to have a simple gall stone removal surgery but was categorized as high risk for the procedure that resulted to a closed loop colostomy.
Mama Chit has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer. The doctor found a mass blocking her gut. Biopsy was ordered and the results revealed that her colorectal cancer which has metastasized to her liver and lungs.
Having cancer is not only emotionally draining, it is also financially challenging. She already went through surgery for colostomy and might need more. Her journey will be long and hard and we want to be prepared so we can focus on building up her strength and making her comfortable.
Mama Chit continues to be ever patient with her 7 children and as a very affectionate grandmother to her 12 young grandchildren.
My family and I understand that this is not an easy time to gather funds because we are all going through our own struggles. But we also know that there are those out there who are always willing to help and most of all people who love our Mama Chit as much as we do.
We acknowledge God as the ultimate healer. He is the only one in whom we place our hope for healing. Please pray for Mama Chit with us. Pray that God will strengthen and support Mama Chit, as well as soothe and lessen her pain and suffering.
Please help us spread the word about this fundraiser and consider donating – any amount helps!
