My name is Joana, Mommy of this little angel, my son Gon Joaquin was born with a Birth defect called Myelomeningocele in wihich the backbone and Spinal Canal do not close before birth. The condition is a type and most serious form of Spina Bifida. Most babies who have this condition accumulate too much fluid in the brain, they may also be diagnosed with hydrocephalus unfortunately, my Joaquin has it too.

He had his 1st operation last August 14, 2019 to close his Back and put a VP Shunt. Days has passed we thought that he is recovering but 4days after his operation, he became feverish and had seizures. All his laboratories turn out fine and he had his 2nd CT Scan, they found out that he had infection called Meningis. Months after of antibiotics but my son is still the same, the doctors decided to removed his VP Shunt because since the Shunt is a Foreign Object the antibiotic cannot go through it. The problem is the hospital needs Downpayment or we need to settle his bills before they performed the Operation. That time his bills are 200,000php or $3,800.

With the help of our relatives and friends we manage to settle at least 150,000php and thankfully they start his 2nd Operation which is VP Shunt Removal and Ventriculostomy. We had to prepare another downpayment for his 3rd Operation after they clear his CSF to the infection. After 3 weeks of antibiotic, because it's been a long time his Ventriculostomy has came out, so no more temporary drainage through the fluid to his brain, we were told that his head would grew again. Along with that we want to transfer him to a government Hospital because we cannot afford the expenses to his current Hospital. But we need to settle at least 90% of his bill before we transfer to another hospital. His bill is 496,000php or $9,580.

Please help us to settle his bill for us to transfer to a government Hospital to performed his 3rd Operation. Thank you very much and Godbless
