My name is Eena Correa, older sister of two amazing twin brothers from the Philippines. Both of them are diagnosed with ASD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder at young age. I'm opening this campaign to gather funds in order to help us pay for the diagnostic and treatment procedures and any other expenses for our baby boy.

His name is Joshua Noriel Correa, 26 years old, older half of our twin brothers who are both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The twins have been doing well and didn't need any medications for their condition ever since they were young.

Joshua is a very adorable child. He usually takes good care of his twin brother and is very sweet to his sisters and parents as well. He likes giving hugs and kisses, and listens very well despite not having good language and communication skills. Oh, and he loves to sing too! He enjoys music a lot and it's a delight to hear him sing and see the beautiful smile on his face when he does.

Due to feeling unwell, he started to become aggressive and violent, which he, as well as our family, couldn't control eventually. He has impulses to break things and hurt the people around him who tries to stop him. This started last July 2019, and he was hospitalized until he felt better. Yet he isn't the same boy that he was after the indlcident. This October, he's been in and out of the hospital due to episodes of aggresion, and recently, for the past days at home and in the hospital where he is currently admitted, he sleeps for more or less 20 hours a day, only waking up to eat and take medications. Aside from another infection that probably triggered his aggression, we are currently trying to find out the cause of his sleeping pattern changes and erratic behavior.

Current work ups include routine laboratory tests such aa blood exams and X-ray, and he is also scheduled for a brain MRI and EEG. We don't know how long he will be staying in the hospital, as it will depend on the results of his tests. We had been paying for the hospital bills for his past 3 admissions, as well as the damages incurred from his outbursts. Before his current admission, we had already shelled out roughly P100,000 for the bills and fees. And as our expenses are getting higher and higher, our finances are depleting as well.

And so we are knocking on your kind hearts to please aid us in covering the expenses for his medical bills. We will greatly appreciate your donations, regardless of any amount.

Just exactly a month after he was discharged, he's admitted yet again at the hospital. He's been restless and agitated five days prior, and last Tuesday, Dec. 3, his aggression became uncontrollable and he has become violent that we had to bring him back to the hospital. Kindly please pray

MRI and EEG done!

Update posted by Maria Noreena Shermaine Correa at 10:26 am

Today, they had the MRI and EEG done under sedation. Thankfully it went well! We were worried that he might wake up in the middle of the procedure (especially during MRI) and it might frighten him. Usual sedatives don't work too well on him. Good thing it went smoothly! Now. . . . .
