Help Our Hardworking Team finally Get Paid for 2022!

Volunteers are such a big--huge--part of MAA and we love them to bits. Many unfortunately can't stay as long as we wish they could (erm, forever, please :)).

Enter our paid workers.

We want to support the local community and employ local team, give them a chance at work to become independent adults, learn about the animals, develop a relationship with them and carry this knowledge into their families and communities. They, too, are our agents of change.

We invest time and effort and training and resources into our team to help them (and us!) learn, to help them grow.

But people often leave, one of the reasons being: the pay is not on time. (To be honest, it's often a few months late.)

It's embarrassing for us. It's sad for our team and the animals.

But almost every day we have to decide whether we're going to buy more dog food or pay some of our wages. Whether we're going to pay our rents or pay wages.

But from today until next Sunday, we're prioritising our team. We're prioritising people who set aside their time off, volunteer their after-hours and come to this blood, sweat and tears-filled work every single day.

We won't be doing any sterilisations or vet trips next week. Instead, we'll be running our wages campaign to try and pay the rest of our 2022 wages that we still owe.

For August, we still owe our team 4.500 dh.
For September, we still owe 6.500 dh.
For October, we still owe 10.100 dh.
For November, we still owe 17.700 dh.
For December, we still owe 27.300 dh.

In order to pay the remaining wages of last year, we need 66.100 dh or about 6.600 eur.
