Help our cat Flip

Update posted by Caroline Smith On Jun 20, 2020

Talked to the doctor earlier today and he says that Flip ate a sewing thread and it was in 10 different spots of his intestine. There was a lot of leakage in his stomach. For now he is doing good, but I have to call back at 4pm. Thank you to everyone who donated. I can't believe how much I have actually raised. I probably won't be able to pick up Flip until Monday. I am going to see about working out something with the Vet and continue with the donations to come up with the money. I might have my daughter's do some kind of sales to come up with the money. Please continue to pray for Flip. He is only 3 years and it would suck to lose him at such a young age. Thank you all again for your donations and prayers.

As of 6/24 we ended up having to put our cat Flip down. The thread actually cut through about 20 different spots of his intestine. They were not able to get all the cuts and the only other way to save him was to cut out his intestine, but then that would mean a life time of chronic diarrhea and / or losing weight. We didn’t feel right to put our cat through this and ended up having to put him down. We are very sad to have to see him go. So far we were able to raise $720. Still need $1780. Thank you for those who donated, shared, and prayed for Flip.

Thank you to Janice for taking Sandra to the vet and thank you to Courtney for suggesting the vet to take our cat. It was a huge help.
