Help Our Baby Dreams Come True!

Hello and Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this short version of our story.

My name is Ellie, I am 25 years old and in a Lesbian relationship with my Fiancee Ceri who is 32. 

Ceri and I have been together for 3 and a half years and have been trying for a baby for 2 years with a private donor, sadly with no luck. 

We both aim and would love to conceive a child each with the same donor to complete our family. However, this all seems very difficult after the information we have just been given.

Ceri has severe Endometriosis and problems with her fallopian tubes, both of these things cause infertility. We were told by our fertility doctor that it will be very difficult for Ceri to get pregnant, if at all, but IVF is an option we really need to be looking at.

We have always looked into other options such as IUI and Egg share. IUI is similar to IVF, however more affordable as they do not fertilise the egg for you. Egg share is something we have also looked at, so that we could share eggs with other couples yearning to conceive. 

Unfortunately due to Ceri having Endometriosis and problems with her Fallopian tubes, we will be unable to have IUI, nor can we Egg share as there are requirments to have both which Ceri no longer meets.

After being given this news today, Ceri and I were left heartbroken. Ceri wants nothing more than to carry and raise one of our future children. We have no choice but to save for IVF which will take us many years. The more than frustrating and hurtful thing on top of this is that, if Ceri was in a straight relationship with a male who had healthy sperm, they would be entitled to IVF funded by the NHS. However as she is a lesbian who has no choice but to use a donor, we are not entitled to treatment. 

I have watched Ceri sitting here heartbroken all afternoon and evening and have decided to appeal to any kind person who can spare anything at all to help make our dreams come true with a miracle baby. 

We will be saving every single penny we can, and with the help of you reading this, we hope to have IVF treatment so we can start our family.
