Help Nurse Irene Fight Cancer

A nurse's job is to care for others. With every medicine she gives, she relieves their pain. With every soft touch of her hands, she comforts them. And with every smile, she lights up their day. With every little thing she does, she gives herself away. Nurse Irene did that and more.

She holds a special place in our hearts because she has given parts of herself to us. She was the person we went to when we were hurting. It didn't matter whether the wound was visible or not. She healed them all the same and she never turned anyone away. She gave us love that was more than love. She gave us the embrace of a mother, words of the wise and hands of a friend. But more than that, she gave us her heart. For she loved everyone and all, and kept guard over our home with her very soul.

Nurse Irene lived a healthy lifestyle and even encouraged others to do the same. However, last July 21, 2017, she was diagnosed of Lung Cancer, stage 4. No one saw it coming. No one.

The house was not a home until she lit it up with the warmth of her heart and magic of her soul. The light she had shared with us still shines bright and will reflect back to her with God's might. Her love flows in our very veins and in her time of need we will let it flow back to her again to help her heal.
