Campaign Story
Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. As many of you know, my wonderful husband of almost two years (time flies!) has a complicated immigration situation that prevents him from visiting the United States as a tourist. In the 7 years we have been together, Nolo has never been able to visit my home country. He hasn't met most of my family or friends, he has never seen the place where I grew up, and I haven't been able to share so many parts of my life with him. It has been a real struggle for us, and for much of our relationship we believed that he would never be able to visit the states.
But there is hope! We learned recently that there is a special permit that Nolo can apply for from the U.S. government to allow him to get a tourist visa. This is amazing news! But we need to hire an American lawyer to prepare the documents for us, and we need your help paying for the legal fees. The attorney must be in paid in U.S. dollars. Both of us are paid in pesos, and with the exchange rate being what it is, we can’t save enough money to pay all the attorney fees
Please donate what you can, any amount helps. You cannot know how much this means to us, we will be forever indebted to you for your generosity.
Also, we love having guests, so if you want to come visit us you have a place to stay and we promise to be the best tour guides ever. ♥

I'm between work projects right now and can't give more yet, but I wanted to help out this tiny bit now. Hopefully you get fully funded by the time I start getting paid again, but if not, I'll be back! I'm so excited for the prospect of Nolo getting to visit your [our?] home turf.
