Campaign Story
Hello everyone my name is Nokwanda nd I currently live at my family home with my mother. I’ve finally managed to land myself a job after desperately searching for employment for a year. The job location is in another province and I was supposed to start working on the first week of August, however due to my situation my employer granted me a month to relocate. I’ve been dependent on my mother for money and basic necessities during my unemployment period. My mother refuses to help with the relocation payments and wants me to give up the job and stay home so she can continue to control me financially. Living with my mother has put me under mental and emotional stress due to my mother’s incessant psychological abuse. I feel drained and desperate to escape this toxic household as soon as possible and this job will give me emotional and financial freedom and independence that I need to live my life on my own terms. The money that I am raising will go towards a security deposit on an apartment, travel costs and food for a month until I receive my first paycheck. Unfortunately this is time sensitive as my job depends on this relocation. I know that things are difficult for everyone with the current pandemic, so any amount is highly appreciated. If you cannot donate I kindly ask that you share this with family and friends or social media platforms. Thank you in advance for your support.
