Help Noemi Fight Lymphoma!

“Cancer may have started the fight, but we will finish it.”

On March 30th, 2021 - our lives flashed before our eyes. We found out that our mother, Noemi, has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It is a cancer that originates in the lymphatic system - a disease-fighting network spread throughout the body. Instead of Lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) defending off bacteria, it develops into tumor cells spreading among all the major organs. Mom was unexpectedly diagnosed when she found a growing lump on her left groin. Instead of an easy operation, they found it to be cancerous.

A recent PET scan indicates that her left groin, abdominal cavity (close to her backbone) and hip are most affected and is continuously growing.

Her oncologist, Dr. Lau Chi Kuen at Tseung Kwan O Hospital, recommends Chemotherapy and Targeted Therapy. A dose costs $20,000. She had her first dose on the 20th April, 2021. Your generous contribution would go towards her second dose on 11th May, 2021 as well as transportation costs to and from the hospital! ❤️

We don’t think anyone expects to get cancer, especially since you all know our Mom as the young, fit and lively person she is. However, this has all left us in a state of shock and the three of us are doing our best to support each other emotionally. Our family has been through a lot these past couple of years, especially financially.
