Campaign Story
Nkem has had difficulty in breathing and speaking for quite sometime. it was discovered that she had cancer of the larynx after test were done, an emergency tracheostomy was done to relieve upper airway obstruction. Thereafter examination was done under anaesthesia and finding revealed a transglottic tumour. Histopathology revealed adenocystic carcinoma which is at stage 3.
She has been immediately referred to a facility in India who has estimated the cost of biopsy, surgery and radiation therapy/chemotherapy(depending on the patients condition) and living cost of the patient and one attendant to be at £18,000. The oncologist had advised immediate start of treatment as she appears to be in a critical condition.
Please help us save Nkem's life urgently, so she can use her voice again as she is constantly in pain and discomfort.
