Help Nicole Fight Lupus

My cousin, Nicole, had just turned 20 last week. She is a happy, kind, and an amazing kid who has now turned into a young woman and has a lot of happy things ahead of her. Unfortunately, Nicole has been battling a disease for nearly 2 years now.

Last 2018, she was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE. It is an autoimmune disease and in this disease, the immune system of the body mistakenly attacks healthy tissue, thus, affecting the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, and other organs. Since then, she has been in and out of the hospital receiving various treatments and countless doctor visits. She has been very brave all throughout.

Just a few weeks ago, she went to the hospital for a checkup since she has been having a cough for almost a month and her medication just didn't do the job. All of a sudden, the doctor advised my aunt that she needed to be admitted to the ICU ASAP. That was when we found out that 2 of her kidneys had already failed and that her lungs were already filled with water. She has been having liquid retention all over her body and needs to undergo dialysis 3 times a week in order to remove the excess liquid. Yesterday, she was already under life support because her heart was already very weak.

She is currently seen by 4 doctors: Nephro, Rheuma, Cardio, and Pulmo. Aside from dialysis, and plenty of medication she has been having, there are still plenty of procedures that need to be done. She also needs an oxygen tank in order to breathe.

Sadly, we are now experiencing financial difficulties since all of these costs A LOT. So, I am humbly reaching out to everyone to help us raise funds for my cousin's treatments and hospitalization.
