My name is Nhlori Mathebula, a 19-year-old girl from Clare village in the Manyeleti region of Bushbuckridge.

Growing up, I have always wanted to be a pilot.
I always dreamt that I would, one day, represent Bushbuckridge in the aviation space.

I matriculated in 2014, Cum Laude, but could not qualify for pilot training as I had not turned 18 years old yet.

A week ago I received a call from one of the best flight schools in Southern Africa if not Africa as a whole, 43 Air School.
They offered me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, admission to their Jet Pilot Programme.
Through this programme, I will train to become a commercial pilot for the Boeing 737 and 777.

Unfortunately, my parents cannot afford the fees for the school.
I need to pay R1, 164, 674, 96 for the training, which will take place at Port Alfred from 3 April 2017.
It would mean the world to me to get financial assistance from your company/organisation/Department.

I am a hardworking young girl who lets nothing get her down.
I carry on my shoulders, the dreams of a community that, for years, has been [historically] disadvantaged.
Becoming the first pilot from the village would not only make my family proud, but the entire region.

I implore you to please dig deep into your pockets and help my parents take me to 43.

My parents are both teachers and proud government employees.
They also do a lot of philanthropic work in our community and have changed the lives of many young people for the better. We don’t have much, but out of what they have, they have always given back.
It breaks them into pieces that they are not able to raise enough money for me to go for pilot training.
Like any other parent, their dream is for their child to succeed and reach new heights. However, they simply cannot afford it.

I am an A student and my matric results speak for themselves. I have seven distinctions and two B symbols (my statement of results is attached hereto).

Please help me rewrite history. Help me become an inspiration to children in my village who are growing up and working hard towards their school work. Help me make it possible for them to dream.

The training is scheduled for 17 months and the fees include accommodation, three meals a day, lecture Fees, courseware and equipment, landing Fees, exam fees as well as the CAA fee.

The banking details (of the school) are also in the document.

When making a contribution, which I pray you do, kindly use N Mathebula as reference.

I would appreciate an opportunity to meet with you and your company/organisation/Department should you need more details or any more information about me and my journey.

I thank you for taking the time to read my plea for help.

I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.

Kind regards,
Nhlori Mathebula
