Help Needed for Food and Toiletries

I usually hate asking for help but at this point, I have no choice. It has become a necessity. Here is my
story. I am 43 years old with a teenage son at home. My husband walked out on us one day. There was no warning sign, no time to prepare, just gone! I wasalone with my son; working part time at home with a pile of bills I couldn’t pay.
Shortly after he left, I found out I needed surgery to repair tendons in my arm/elbow. The surgeon said the recovery time was 3 months. There was no way I could afford to be out of work that long. I am scheduled to have surgery 12/21!
I did apply for food stamps but that takes 45 days to approve. I have been to the food pantry in town but they are very low on food and you can only go there once a month.
What I am requesting is cash or gift cards so that I can purchase food and other items for my son and I. We have Wal-Mart, Kmart, Market Basket, Shaw’s and Hannaford that all sell food. The last 3 are actual grocery stores.
I have enough food for another day but then I don’t know what we are going to do. Besides food, we also need things like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc.
I am asking you to please help only if you are able to. Even if it is just $1, $5,etc. Believe me, when you have nothing like we do, every little bit helps. If any place does online gift certificates that would be a huge help because we could use it that day since we will be out of food tomorrow night.
I do not have any family around so I would like to think there is a mom, dad, grandpa or grandma out there who could think of me as their daughter or granddaughter so I wouldn’t feel so alone.
