Help Mylar Have Eye Surgery

Me and my partner rescued Mylar off Facebook.

Mylar is a 8 month old, American Bulldog cross Bull Mastiff.

She was desperately needing to be gotten rid of in less than a week! Not desexed, not registered, not microchipped, no record of vaccination and out of date of parasite control.

I was willing to take on this substantial cost and get her desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and Register her and flea and worm her too in order for Mylar to be able to live a happy healthier life.

However less than two hours after her arrival, my partner noticed 'something' in her eye. Just thinking it was some fluff or dirt from playing with our dogs outside. We took a closer look, only to find it is a LUMP on her EYE! Not only was it a lump but their is hair growing from this lump too.

I immediately worried about her comfort, and noticed the staining on her fur caused by the irritation. I immediately questioned the person I received her from, with a response of saying it is cherry eye and doesn't hurt her, yet had not taken her to a vet to have it seen!

I replied saying how I am not willing to let it go unseen by a vet, yet don't feel responsible for taking on what is potentially a huge surgery. But received a summed up response of 'she is your problem now'.

This poor Girl, having lived 8 months with a sore irritated eye and negligent owners with no compassion, or care for her well being.

I am determined not to let her suffer. But I need help.

*UPDATE*

Mylar's eye can be saved, it is a Dermoid.

Mylar was seen by a vet on Monday 2nd July. She is healthy otherwise, but the vet does think removing the Dermoid would mean a happier healthier life for Mylar.
