Help my uncle get his lifesaving surgery

In April 2020, my uncle Mr. Yaseen Ahmed approached his family doctor complaining about chest pain. The doctor diagnosed it as acidity and prescribed antacids. Despite having medicine he felt no relief. Therefore he went to the doctor again where he got prescribed even stronger antacids. After a few days his pain started radiating to his left arm. He went to the doctor again only to hear that he might be having psychological issues and was dismissed very rudely. My uncle felt dejected but because of my aunts consistent insisting he decided to visit a bigger hospital in November 2020 where he got diagnosed with 3 heart blocks that required immediate Open heart triple bypass surgery. Unfortunately my uncle didn’t have any insurance, so gathering enough money for his surgery through relatives and neighbors took him and his family nearly 2 months. Finally his surgery was done in January 2021.

After this is when the bigger problem started. He was prescribed immunosuppressants after his surgery which weakened his immune system. Subsequently, after about 2 months he became a victim of a lung infection & got prescribed high dose Corticosteroids. His immune system became even weaker.

In April he started experiencing facial numbness, nasal discharge and extreme weakness in his upper jaw which led to his teeth falling out. He went to the doctor and this time he got diagnosed for Mucormycosis (rare and serious fungal infection) which manifested as Acute Invasive Fungal Sinusitis (most aggressive form of sinusitis in immunocompromised people). This disease is eating away at his facial bones and sinuses and causing extreme anguish and pain.

Doctors are indicating a Partial Maxillectomy, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery with microdebridement & orbital decompression with highly selective antibacterial and antifungal treatment. The estimated cost for all his surgeries and hospital stay is INR 2,000,000 (US$30,000 approximately). My uncle has no insurance to support him and insurance companies are not providing him with coverage at this stage.

He has diabetes, hypertension and was born with only one kidney as well. His family consists of his wife and only son who feel helpless by the day at the situation that has arisen. His surgery needs to be performed as quickly as possible and for this we seek help from any and every one to help us achieve this. Please help us save a beloved husband, father and uncle.
