Help my Sister

I am a 19 year old guy from Singapore, serving National Service. I have a 17 year old sister. This is our story.

As kids, my sister and I were abused by our mother. Dad was rarely home because of work. Mum was a housewife, and her love manifested in the form of extreme violence, micro-managing, physical and psychological abuse. She meant well, I hope, but kneeling on rice for longer than 2hrs, getting whipped by multiple bamboo canes tied down by rubber bands, golf clubs, and many other contraptions for physical torture. Home, to us, was a mixture of extreme corporal punishment and non-stop shouting.

Somehow, I turned out okay, or at least, I hope so. My sister wasn't so fortunate and is currently undergoing severe psychological trauma. These include suicidal messages last year (to which my mother responded "Fuck her" and I had to diffuse the situation), lack of motivation to do anything every day, skyfalling grades and a general "Life is shit" vibe.

I manage the situation from my army camp but I realised this needs professional help and intervention. Currently looking at a psychologist but her rate is $150/h. This brings me to my huge issue.

One would expect a 19 year old to be earning money and have control over his finances right? I earn about $900/mnth from NS. That money goes straight into a trust account held by my mother that I can't even touch. Would you believe it? Oh well. Even angbao money goes into a black hole... I currently teach violin on weekends but make nowhere near the amount of money needed for long term sustainable treatment!

The situation is way more complex and I might find more time to pen down the entire situation but thank you for reading up till here! Any help would be greatly appreciated <3
